The carnival kicks off with a Town Procession through the centre of Congleton, watched by thousands and ends in Congleton Park by the Leisure Centre! It attracts all sorts of floats, marching bands, various clubs & societies and of course our local school children. There is something for everyone, and this year's theme is 'Heroes and Villains'.

The route

On the 7th of July, at 11am, the carnival procession will leave  Bromley Road and proceed along Lawton Street towards the Town Hall.

It travels through the main street ( High Street then Bridge Street ) on the designated route as indicated on the route map below.

Some of the best viewing places are in the High Street and Bridge Street areas as well as Autobus Street and the Aldi roundabout on MountBatten Way, where people are able to see the procession, with great views in both directions.

Road closure points are shown on the route map, subject to approval given under the Town Police Clauses Act 1847
